Ants 1 : Peter 0

I don't think the ants like the bait.  After researching this online, I have found that they are indeed pharaoh ants.  I have put all the opened food bags into large trash bags and sealed them up.  I smushed the whole ant trail that went to the pantry, leaving their bodies as a warning to their friends not to come that way.   It didn't work, but it was rather therapeutic.  I'm probably going to go back to the store to get some more varieties of "ant food" in case the ants have discriminating palettes

As for our little girl, she gets the hicups alot, and she can't go to sleep when she has them.  Heather was up for a several hours last night, working with SaraB through some gas and hicups.  Since then, she has been sleeping soundly for the full 3 hours between her next two feedings.

Peter, my father is great at getting rid of pests around the house and we use a combination of sugar and borax (on the laundry aisle) and you mix it half and half. You put it out where you see them and they eat it thinking it's sugar. They ingest it and it works everytime. We get them every year as they are looking for water. We use a spoon and put it straight on the floor and in all crevices...they won't climb into a bowl for it. Try it, I promise you won't be disappointed.

As far as the hicups, keep her more upright then laying down. It should help. I've heard that the hicups are from a little reflux, that when the milk comes up a little, they get the hicups. Babies hate them (we do too) and if you keep them more upright, it should help. Even her bed, you could elevate the head an inch or two and it should help out a lot too - all this worked for Isaac!

Again, the elevation helps. Maybe even an incline sleep positioner??

Peter, on the hiccups, you might try feeding Sara when she is calm and not real hungry yet as sometimes when they are hungry and fussy, that's when they swallow alot of air, also as far as sleeping, there is a wedge that you can buy at Targert or Walmart and you place her on her side and then after the next feeding, switch her to the other side. Elevating her bed a bit helps with the reflux. Milocon drops help too before she eats to help with gas. Hannah had reflux for 3 months and all of this made things so much earier for her.
