I came home one day last week to find the kids playing in the back yard. Heather had bought a really cool kiddie pool for the backyard and with the sand table next to it, it was almost like a beach vacation. Hudson tried to make it more realistic by actually sitting in the sand, but I didn't want to clean sand out of his diaper so I took him out whenever he tried to get in. The water in the pool was fresh from the hose so it was rather cold. Sara Beth would go play in the pool for about a minute, and then get out and go jump on the warm trampoline to warm up, and then return back to the pool once she was warm enough again.
Sara Beth has build up a fort behind the living room couch next to the cat scratching tree. Hudson followed her into the secret lair and was excitedly playing with her doll hair brush.
You might not be able to tell from the smiles, but Sara Beth does not like getting her picture taken. She was pretending to be a baby kitten and receiving pets from her "owner." But once she noticed I had brought out the camera, she began making hissing noises and trying to scratch at the camera with her "claws." Fortunately, I timed the picture just right so it appears that she is sitting still and not trying to attack the camera man.
