We are still working on Hudson and his potty training. I think we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Hudson is now training his stuffed animal "Nice" how to use the potty too.
We have been cleaning our house in preparation to put it on the market. Here, Hudson is helping me wipe down the windows.
It has been unseasonably warm in December. One evening, while Heather was out, I cooked hot dogs for the kids and since it was so nice outside, we decided to eat dinner on the back patio.
For dinner on Christmas Eve, we had crab soup, fresh backed bread, and cheese. Hudson decided he would be a waiter and went around with the tray asking everyone what kinds of cheese they wanted.
Christmas morning, my parents and Jill came over to our house to open presents. My mom had surgery on her foot, but made the best of it by festively decorating her cast,
The day after Christmas, Cindy and Dennis drove out to visit for the week, and they brought another set of gifts to open.
Two Saturdays ago, I had planned to take Heather to see the Dallas Symphony. At the last minute, Hudson decided to get a 102 degree fever and a cough, so Heather stayed home with the sick kid while I took Sara Beth out instead. Sara Beth and I had a fantastic time. (Note to self: I need to make this up to Heather)
Our friend Buck has two kids that are the same age as our two, so last Thursday, he called me up and invited us to Chuck-e-Cheese to hang out. Hudson and Rhett decided to play on the motor cycle game for nearly the whole hour that we were there. I kept reminding Hudson to twist the throttle and to not hold the break lever to actually go. He didn't care. I also mentioned that he didn't need to make motorcycle noises with his mouth since the game made them. He didn't care to stop that either.
